Wedding Maturity – Friday: A Day of Wedding Inspiration

Image
Happy Inspiration Friday and TGIF indeed! Today my inspiration idea came from my wonderful friend Judie! Today we are getting wise and talking about mature brides and second weddings. I have a lot of love for mature weddings. I think at an older age a bride really gets the truth of a wedding, it becomes a small intimate affair with close loved ones to celebrate two people coming together in the name of love. What can be better than that?? I don’t think second weddings should spare the excitement, joy, and celebration that was experienced at ones first… on the contrary in fact… it should really embody a celebration of the harmonization and connection that is shared. I am all for intimate weddings of a smaller size simply because you will only be celebrating with the people who understand how your union came to pass and why your wedding day, whether your second or first, as a mature bride is important. Some great tips: Remember to have lots of fun… this is a celebration Jus...

Bridal Gown Monday – Purple Whimsy

Image
Happy Bridal Gown Monday! Boy is it hot out there so today we wanted to whisk you away to a place of whimsy! Yes we are continuing from our Harry Potter Inspiration Friday by touching on GORGEOUS Whimsical Purple Bridal Gowns. Purple you ask? Why not I say! On the Wedding Inspirasi blog I found some stunning purple wedding gowns with that whimsical feel! Great designers, bold colours.. todays Gown Monday is definitely for the unique bride! Purple is a rich and royal colour. Great in several tints and shades that can work with all skin tones. When using colour in a wedding gown I always advice to be adventurous with the silhouette and shape. Brides often fear that a bridal gown with colour will look less bridal. But if you aren’t afraid of frills, florals, ruffles, ruching, and bling/applique then you will have your bridal gown and your colour too! Here are my favourite Purple Whimsy gowns: Photo Credits: Western Design   |  Carlo Pignatelli   |  Monique L...

Harry Potter – Friday: A Day of Wedding Inspiration

Image
Happy Inspiration Friday… and a TGIF to all my readers!!! Yes.. this weekend is the epic finally of Harry Potter! To all the Harry Potter fans out their what a journey it’s been and how exciting the last movie is upon us finally! Well I just had to do an inspiration blog on harry potter today. Most assume that inspiration has to be literal. For example, apple wedding inspiration has to literally include apples. Although apples make great centre pieces and desserts it’s actually not necessary to include any when doing an apple theme. Ideas and Inspiration for your wedding is all about look, colour, feel, texture, taste, and all it’s complimentary (i.e.: purple complimentary green)! So today I wanted to use Harry Potter for that reason… We are going to take the colours, magic, passion, love/friendship, textures, whimsical/fantasy (even an owl) and turn into a great wedding inspiration idea! Chrissy Wai-Ching – Bridal Gown Monday

Image
Happy Bridal Gown Monday! Hope you are enduring this summer heat wave! We are continuing with our “Green” with envy idea from our Inspiration Friday blog highlighting the bridal gown designer Chrissy Wai-Ching. About Chrissy Wai-Ching: Chrissy debuted her wild yet wearable line, Wai-Ching, in 2003 with figure flattery at the top of her priority list.  Creating fiercely unique clothing is a delicate process.  To Wai-Ching, the art lies not only in designing, but also in selecting luxurious silks, hand-dyeing the blank canvas, and meticulously piecing together each masterpiece.  The name Wai Ching (Cantonese for wisdom and virtue) reflects the philosophy of the line and of the artist herself. Her Boutique is located in Seattle. The designer creates garments using in silk, hemp, and other natural fibers handmade and dyed in Seattle. I personally love her gowns because they are made to show off a woman’s curves. This designer is not afraid of colour and she accents e...
