The Renaissance – Friday: A Day of Wedding Inspiration

TGIF!! Happy Inspiration Friday! Are you ready to go back in time? This inspiration Friday is brought to you by my wonderful friend Dawn who gave me the idea to do a Renaissance inspired wedding. Thank you Chicago for having a renaissance fair to inspire the great idea! When considering doing a wedding of a past era I suggest going 50/50 direct vs. implied inspiration. For example have a couture gown with renaissance inspiration and then use a cake toper that depicts a direct image of the renaissance period! This will give creative new ideas for your wedding while keeping the renaissance theme intact. Also incorporating new items into your wedding theme will give it a unique feel that your guests will enjoy! This will keep the florals to only an accent which will enhance an already gorgeous gown. You could also become the flower and get a gown like this blue Romona Kaveza gown below.
