Simple Paper Rose - DIY Wedding Wednesday

Happy DIY Wedding Wednesday and I hope you’re pushing yourself towards getting over the hump so we can all say TGIF!! Today we’re showing you how to make a simple paper rose that you can use for bouquets, centrepieces, hair accessories, jewellery and really anything you can think to use it for. So let’s get started. What you will need: Pretty colourful paper (I used 12 x 12 in. thin one-sided cardstock) Plain paper for tracing White glue or really durable glue stick Toothpick Hot Glue Gun 1 Mid to Large coloured bead with a whole through the centre Floral Wire Floral Tape Wire cutter Scissors Pencil Step 1: Trace out the template on plain paper. You can enlarge and print the one below or you can draw your own exactly as below in the size you like. Happy Valentine’s Day!! For me Valentine’s is a day to remember your loved ones and to do something special for them. Be that friends, family, significant others or coworkers! Valentine’s Day is also a great day for DIY projects. So why not incorporate that into your wedding. Ever wondered what to put at the back of the bride & grooms chair?? We have been experimenting with origami and paper crafts for the past month because we are opening The Beginning of Forever’s Wedding Paper Crafts store in the next little while so you can find some awesome paper craft and paper craft ideas for your wedding. On this DIY Wedding Wednesday we are embellishing a candle favour and making a pocket holder for a bookmark favour. What you need: Card stock and paper in the colour of your choice. You’ll want to use one colour or get an array of the same colour in different patterns and textures. Cutting tool Ruler Whole Punch Scissors Glue Stick, Double Sided Tape, or Hot Glue Gun. Happy Wednesday! Time to make it over the hump! Are you ready for another DIY Wedding Wednesday ? Studying origami has been a lot of fun… trying to perfect the art so I can make some great items for our new Wedding Affiliates Store . While some things are more easy to buy others can be done at home, in advance of your wedding for just a pretty penny! The perfect DIY wedding project is one that can be done over time well in advanced, easily stored, and of course fun without added stress. These coasters (or doily like centrepiece bottoms) are a great gift for your guests. Once you have perfected the fold using regular print paper you can use a fancier cardstock or better yet a paper-backed foil (or a water proof paper) so it can be used as an actual coaster. You can use any patterned or solid coloured paper preferably in 2 different colours or patterns in the same colour to get a beautiful effect.
