Halloween Colours Black and Orange - Wedding Inspiration Friday

Welcome to our Thursday Halloween Special.. and a Happy Halloween to all those who love this day! Today we are going to be looking at Halloween colours specifically Orange and Black. Now most cringe at the thought of an Orange and/or Black wedding but we wanted to throw away that stigma and show you just how beautiful either can be. Of course you can also mix inspiration from both to create your very own Orange and Black wedding theme. Using both bold and subtle ideas you will see that you could indeed have a full monochromatic wedding in either of these colours but also how to pull small accents to add a bit of these colours to your theme. The key for both is overlapping different shades with textures and finishes. Shiny with mat, dark with light, smooth with a raised finish. So let's start with Orange. Subtle with Bold is a prime example in the Orange inspiration board. Using a Subtle Ocre for the wedding dress and pairing it with a bold burnt orange suit for the groom. ...

Red Carpet Brides – Bridal Gown Monday

Happy Bridal Gown Monday!! And a happy and productive start to your new week! Every bride wants to feel like they’re walking the red carpet on their wedding day. So when checking out one of my favourite bridal gown designers Atelier Aimee this morning I came across the perfect collection of gowns. Befittingly named Red Carpet Brides this collection is full of colours, layers, frills, florals, rich fabrics, and of course red carpet style. It is so good to be back on the blog. How I have missed writing and inspiring for the brides and grooms out there. Happy Monday and I hope everyone has been safe despite hurricane Irene!! Today we are featuring Atelier Aimée Montenapoleone , an amazing designer who has rustic and classic flare mixed with unique feminine romanticism down to a science when it comes to their collections and gowns. I can truly say that there collections offer something for ALL brides from the risqué or unique bride to the simple elegant or conservative bride and all in-between. I have to say I have fallen in love with this designer and I hope you do too!
