Image
With all the Royal Wedding craze happening before the big day on April 29th, I thought it would be great to show some fantastic ideas for brides who want to add a little bit of royalty to there wedding. Of course this being Bridal Gown Monday we will focus on the fashion. Here are some great, more modern, ways to show off your royal side as you walk your way down the aisle. Lace and Appliques: Add some bling or some lace to your wedding gown. But remember to be tasteful to much can become overwhelming and a bride can get lost in their wedding gown. Make sure YOU where the dress and the dress doesn’t wear you. Josephine by Melissa Gentile That Cathedral Train: You won’t feel more like royalty then with the long gorgeous train following behind you. A great tip (for the modern bride) when buying a dress with a cathedral train look at how it bustles. There are great ways for that train to grow “magically” short for you to being the party and you want to make sure it looks just

Image
Happy Bridal Gown Monday… This Monday we are taking a break from our Reader’s Choice series to talk about the Shedding for the Wedding finale episode. You can however still contact us to be the next guest to choose your favourite wedding gown for our blog. Although it aired a while ago yesterday was the first time I got to see it… (thank you PVR technology) my favourite couple (the Eco Lovers) Sam and Brooks won there dream wedding after loosing a combined weight of 162lbs. The wedding was an eco-friendly fully sustainable wedding and I must say the ceremony was stunning!! Designer Karen Tran did an AMAZING job.. the flowers were gorgeous and the layout on the hillside blew me away. (see her blog for more details) But of course this is Bridal Gown Monday and we simply have to talk about the wonderful designer gown that Samantha wore for her big day. Designed by the talented Winnie Chlomin from Winnie Couture. The Gwendolyn dress was romantic and whimsical. The flower ruff

Happy Inspiration Friday!! How are you being inspired today? I am ALWAYS looking for new ways to be inspired and would be happy to use some ideas you may have or would like to see turned into a Wedding Inspiration Board, be sure you contact us ! My inspiration this week came from a great friend of mine Susan (Joyce) who suggested that my inspiration should come from the Royal Wedding that is on it’s way shortly. I must warn you that I haven’t been following this wedding at all… even though I am a Wedding Specialist I find myself more interested in personal and intimate weddings so the mass craze around this wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton has kind of kept it off my “must stay informed list”. BUT… I am very much inspired by the fashion and activities that the British Royals partake in… Ascot Knot Ties, High Tea, Gorgeous Ball Gowns, Bright Pops of Colour, Tiaras, Elegant Style, Posh Fashion choices… all very inspiring! So this Inspiration Friday is brought to y

I decided to focus specifically on the Lucky Flowers, Lucky Gems, and Closest Metal characteristics. Bridal Gown Monday: Reader’s Choice – Jenna Garcia

Image
Happy Bridal Gown Monday!!! It’s the first of our Reader’s Choice series where reader’s get to select their FAVOURITE (or least favourite) bridal gown and explain just why they love it. This week is brought to you by Jenna Garcia, who is also a good friend of mine and a wedding lover also! She chose a dress from the Alfred Angelo Sapphire collection. And why she loves this gown? “I love that it looks sexy and seductive and yet so simple and elegant. Not a lot of flash, yet all wow! - Jenna Garcia ” I must say I have to agree! It’s a strapless gown, slightly empire waist, ruching detail that hugs your curves and flows outward to hide any “problem areas” that one might not want others to see. The crystal beading on the bust adds the extra bling to accentuate the sweetheart neckline. This dress can flatter all sizes (petite, regular, and plus) and it’s antique white colour would look great (and more subtle against the skin) for most skin tones. Sapphire Collection: Style #849 Visi
