  1. Using your cardstock cut into a strip large enough to fold 1/3 from the top and wide enough to fit your bookmark. (To get the right size measure your bookmark’s width and length. Now measure the paper adding 2 inches to the width and enough length for the majority of the bookmark to fit in the pocket.
  2. Using your cutting tools or scissors cut your rectangle strip of paper.
  3. Fold the paper up from bottom to top. Leave about 1/3 of the paper at the top.
  4. Punch 3 wholes on each side about 5mm from the edge and about an inch apart.
  5. Cut string/yarn and thread through wholes making sure the string ends poke through on the top through both top wholes. This is to be able to tie a front bow.
  6. Tie a bow. Add a thank you tag (we used a piece of cardstock and made it into a heart. Using a marker we added a thank you message) on top of bow and tie again.
  7. VOILA! Now you can add your bookmark in the pocket. You can buy really inexpensive pre-made bookmarks or make them yourself and add your own message. For a really cute DIY bookmark visit mmm crafts.
Candle Favour Embellishment:

This simple cute idea is an inexpensive way to add a unique touch to your candle favour.
  1. Take 2 pieces of sturdy paper. Either use 2 shades/tints of the same colour, 2 complimentary colours (from your wedding theme), or 1 solid and one patterned paper.
  2. Measure around your candle to get the length of paper you need. Add about 4 additional inches when measuring out paper. For width of the strip you want enough paper to sit in the middle of the candle with at least a 1/2 inch of candle left on top and bottom.
  3. Use this measurement to cut one of the papers. Take off 1 inch on the width and use that measurement to cut your second paper.
  4. Glue the smaller rectangle on top of the larger rectangle cut out. You can place it in the middle with about a 1/2 inch on top and bottom of paper behind. Or you can lay it directly on the top or bottom edge so an inch sticks out at the top of behind paper for a different look.
  5. Wrap doubled paper strip around candle tightly. You should have a bit of excess on end. Glue edge down overlapping about a quarter inch. Cut off remainder. (We used the remainder to make our thank you tab by cutting it into a heart and using marker to write thank you message).
  6. Measure a string/yarn using the measurement for the circumference of the candle. You’ll want to wrap the string around at least 4 times so multiply your measurement by 4 and add about 4 inches to tie a bow.
  7. Wrap your cut string around the candle overlapping you recently placed rectangle strip. Tie in a double knot. Add your thank you tag, then add your charm or pendant. Knot once and tie bow.
  8. VOILA! You have an inexpensive but beautiful candle favour for your guests!
