Countdown – Favourite of our Bridal Gown Mondays in 2012 pt. 2
Happy Holiday!!! Were continuing our countdown of the favourite gowns of 2012. If you haven’t seen last weeks blog be sure to check it out. We had our first top 5 of 16 Bridal Gown Monday’s and this week we have another 6 for you.
#6 BHLDN: Bridal Gown Monday – February 6, 2012
Classic, sexy, unique, detailed, feminine and flirty, vintage/old Hollywood glamour…. need I say more! I need not. BHLDN has an amazing wedding line not only gowns but gorgeous accessories too. And our favourite you ask? Well it has to be the frilly, fish scale, light silver, flowy feminine but so unique “Pleated Fantasy” gown.
#7 Elegant Romance: Bridal Gown Monday – February 13, 2012
We were on the cusp of Valentine’s Day so of course we wanted to bring a little romance into your lives. Alma Novia’s 2o12 bridal gown line was just that.. romantic. Soft, dainty, beautiful fabrics, and detailed lace. Our favourite gown has lace and frills, a bit of modesty with a hint of modern. A gown of great balance.
#8 Eco-Chic and Loving it: Bridal Gown Monday – February 20, 2012
Eco-friendly and Canadian… of course a fellow Canadian eco-chic blogger had to blog about it! I love designers who take environmental impact into consideration when creating their designs especially when beauty is not lost! Pure Magnolia does just that! And our favourite gown from there line is the ‘Seashell Ballgown’. Although simple the sweetheart neckline with the tapered waist. A flowing skirt and pockets.. Very cute and very comfy. I think brides can certainly be casual, and with this gown you can look beautiful doing it.
#9 Vintage Hot: Bridal Gown Monday – February 27, 2012
With Charlotte Casadjéjus you can go vintage and look hot doing it. Her line incorporates the classic feel with a modern twist. Bringing elegance and romance together in an antique kind of way. Our favourite, the ‘Maude’ gown, has a feather detailed bottom with draped fabric over the top. A cute antique copper belt. Accessories with a brooch hair clip or a fascinator for a complete look.
#10 Jenny Yoo: Bridal Gown Monday – March 5, 2012
Jenny You takes the beauty of simplicity to a-whole-nother level! She uses simple lines with simple shapes.. but her designs are far from boring. With her added intricate details like lace, layering, or a flower in the right location makes her gowns quite stunning. Our favourite, the ‘Bella’ gown has a bit of all of that, lace overlay above a sweetheart neckline. A layered skirt using three types of fabrics and a ribbon belt with a floral touch! Sweet and cute!
#11 Backless Details: Bridal Gown Monday – March 12, 2012
Sometimes the front of the gown isn’t the place a bride wants to accentuate. So we wanted to show brides-to-be how to go backless. Amy Michelson has quite a few goregous backless gowns that range from pretty and sweet to sexy and vivacious! We of course like the sweet “posh” gown. A simple cris cross back with a sheer bow works so beautifully with the layered ruffle skirt. We just love the details on this gown and think brides should not be afraid to show a little back!
Hope you are enjoying our countdown to our favourite gowns and accessories. Next week we will be diving into the accessories and showing more gowns with pt. 3 the final Bridal Gown Mondays countdown this year on New Years Eve! Please be sure to let us know your favourites of our favourites in the comments below!
