Countdown – Favourite of our Bridal Gown Mondays in 2012 pt. 1
Happy Monday Everyone!! We have had 16 great Bridal Gown Mondays this year showing you dresses and accessories that are perfect for all types of brides, in all kinds of wedding occasions, and for all shapes and sizes. We only have 3 Mondays left in 2012 (including today) so lets begin our countdown. Each will show our favourite dress or accessory from a particular Bridal Gown Monday post! We would love for you to lest us know your favourite of the favourites in the comments below!!!
#1) Zuhair Murad – Bridal Gown Monday – January 2, 2012
We decided to start off the new year with a bang with the Zuhair Murad collection. Bold colours, lace, patterns from nature, showing skin.. All the choices for a unique bride. Our favourite gown was a gorgeous red lace leaf pattern overtop a poof skirt of crinoline! The intricate details made for a gorgeous elegant gown and the colour gave just the right pop! Perfect for a spring or fall wedding.
Elie Saabs Winter Fall collection seemed to fade from light to dark with pale blues, soft nudes, dark navy, to rich greys. The feminine shapes, flowing fabrics, shimmering threads all meant to make you, the beautiful women (we are all beautiful as you know) an even more beautiful bride. And our favourite… A sea blue the hugged all the right places but also allowed the fabric to flow away showing a hint of leg. Just perfect for a beach wedding. Which during winter and fall may be exactly where you want to have your wedding.

Justin Alexander new Bridal Gown Collection had the perfect mix of old classics, timeless whimsy, and bold new style. Frills, floral appliques, ruffles, lace.. need I say more. And our fav you ask??? Well we just LOVE the lace detail and satin sash on the gown below. Hugging the hips and accentuating the ever famous hour glass figure this gown gave just the right amount of sexy with the perfect amount of modesty having the lace hang just below the neckline.
#4) Bridal Gown Monday: Our Favourite this Week – January 23, 2012
We were blown away with Yolan Cris that we dedicated an entire blog to just one gown.. So you can see it below. Of course Hollywood glamour was very much in taking a different spin on the vintage bride. We felt Yolan Cris’s Monaco gown was the epitome of Hollywood glam!
Don’t you just LOVE the feel of satin? Well we certainly do.. especially if you can look real good in it. With the 2012 collection from Mira Zwillinger there was no way to go wrong.. in fact most would probably even envy you a little in these gowns. But which did we feel would bring the most envy??? The least satiny feel gown of course. While made of satin the Kassandra gown gave off the least typical satin look. It had a rougher look to it with the floral accents and stiffer structure and pockets too. But that's what we love most.. the uniqueness it had out of the collection and the fact that it was such a gorgeous gown with a casual feel. Perfect for a summer wedding!
