Today is our final blog countdown of our favourite Bridal Gown Mondays! We are counting down the favourite of our accessory posts. Accessories are more important than the gown sometimes. You can purchase a really inexpensive, plain, simple gown and buy the right accessory to make it GORGEOUS… So don’t be afraid to get accessorized for your wedding day.

#12 Veils & Headpieces: Bridal Gown Monday – March 26, 2012
This was part 1 of our Accessorize Mini-series we looked at veils and headpieces from Bridal Couture Girls (BC Girls). They have great hair accents that are great from posh to casual weddings. Our favourite was a simple but very elegant headband. Great with an array of hairstyles up or down dos. A Swarovski crystal double headband.

#13 Belts and Sashes: Bridal Gown Monday – April 16 – 2012
A great belt or sash is prefect to accentuate your waist line. Weather it’s a low, centre, or empire waist you want to emphasize adding the right belt or sash will draw the eye to it. Be sure to match your gown to the belt and the whole ensemble to the type of wedding you’re having (casual or black tie, etc.). Our favourite is the four row Austrian crystal belt from Kristen Kuehn Designs. I loved this belt because you could arrange it is different ways weather you criss cross or wrap it around it will really emphasize your waistline.
#14 Gloves On: Bridal Gown Monday – May 14, 2012
Not many consider adding gloves to spiffy up there wedding look. I guess it’s because there was a long time with the same type of glove, no changes, just long or short in a satin white (maybe a colour to match your gown) but now they have so many styles in an array of fabrics and lengths. You can certainly add some spunk to your look with the right glove. BHLDN’s glove line is magnificent and our favourite is just the right mix of cute and funky to enhance the right wedding gown the Ebony flecked gloves.
#15 Body Art: Bridal Gown Monday – June 12, 2012
Yeah you could buy something to wear to accessorize your wedding look… but why not become the canvas yourself with body art. Weather permenant or temporary body art can add just the right accent for your look. We looked at body paint from paint-n-faces, tattoo wedding band ideas from ehow, a paint the dress (like trash the dress but with paint and glitter) photo-shoot with Lindsayskeans Photography, and of course our favourite Henna (or Mendhi) by Pavan. The great thing about henna is you can go traditional, modern, or even think of very unique and original designs like the henna pantyhose or stocking look that we showed on our blog. But our favourite was a modern look by Pavan and the wedding band tattoos (photography by Jesses Photography)
#16 In the shoes: Bridal Gown Monday – July 7, 2012
Last but certainly not least, in fact it was one of our highest viewed Bridal Gown Monday blogs of 2012. Our Accessorize Mini-series blowout all about your feet. Shoes don’t only need to be considered for the right accessory you also have to consider comfort and location to pick the right shoe. Stilettos may not be right for a winter wedding and a full shoe may be to hot for a beach wedding.. so be sure to consider these things before looking for the right look and style of shoe. Our favourite was a crocheted beaded barefoot sandal from Lasunka. I love the idea of a barefoot sandal for a beach wedding.. I think I’d want to feel the sand between my toes as I walked down the beach aisle!
