This week we are returning to our reader’s choice series and today is brought to you by Denise Georgiou-Newell from WeDDings Jubilee Planning Services. She is a certified Wedding & Destination Wedding Specialist, and also a TICO Certified Travel Agent, which of course would make her a great expert on Bridal Gowns and wedding fashion.

So instead of choosing one dress Denise is introducing us to one of her favourite designer’s Demetrios. Here is what she thinks of his 2011 collection:

Demetrios is one of my personal favourite designers. He always focuses on true European Grandeur, bringing out 'the sexy' in a Woman and a dress that makes a statement. We've seen some very risqué designs in the past that only a very specific type of Bride could pull off; a Bride that was outgoing, empowered & who was extremely confident with herself. This new collection is much more muted and sophisticated. He's stayed true to his roots of bringing out the sexiness and mystery of a woman by really focusing on shape, embroidery and necklines this time as opposed to the nude-illusion of a sheer bodice enveloped by lace & bling. This time there is something for every Bride. The amazing European Elegance is still there as is his amazing quality of fabrics, mastery & detail. He still has a Wow factor going on, but its completely toned down this round. His designs are immaculate, as usual, but I believe the 2011 collection will bring him a little more into the mainstream. I love it because it really captures the beauty and elegance that each Bride should feel on her Wedding day!

And I must say I agree… although he does still have some of his gorgeous sheer jewel embroidered gowns he has included a selection in this 2011 collection for all brides with all styles and silhouettes! He even included some colour which of course I love!
