Where did the love go? Using your 5 senses to bring the love back (part 2)

Part 2: Seeing

Remember the first time you saw them? Your eyes got wider, pupils dilated, heart wanted to jump out of your chest, thoughts were filled with wanting to know them more. What is it about the first sight? It’s about wanting more, needing more, seeing more, knowing more, and seeing again.

Sight is not just about the eyes, no, it goes much deeper. It’s about seeing inside someone not just with your eyes but also with the mind and heart. It’s easy to lose that first moment, as you only get one. So how do you keep that feeling alive, how can everyday be like the first time you saw your love?

The depth is where it lies. Seeing beyond what’s on the outside. We’ve all heard the saying “looks are only skin deep, beauty fades, what’s on the inside is what matters” and that is a very true statement. See your partner at the depth of their core. Each day find something new about them that you just can’t resist. See the way they make you laugh, see the way they look at you with love, see how each step they make is a step to get closer to you, most of all see all the little things your special someone does to make your heart go pitter-patter!

This will keep your eyes wanting more. Each day will feel like that first sight. Your eyes will be rejuvenated by the love you see from deep within them.

No I did not forget your homework. Tonight find a moment to sit together with the lights off. Where seeing with your eyes no longer matter. I want you to tell each other about the little things they do that you absolutely love… I mean can’t live without. But here is where the seeing is important. I want you to be very descriptive, don’t just say I like your smile, describe how they smile exactly how you see it… then describe exactly how it makes you feel. Enjoy!

On Monday we are onto the intoxicating scent of love!
